I’ve never been good at defining what my blog’s main subject matter should be about.
It always starts off with a whimsical dream of sharing my love of words to virtual kindred spirits. But somewhere along the line, this fantastical voyage morphs into a desire of being allowed to ramble about whatever the fuck I want. A safe place to jot down snarky comments regarding movies, books, or eccentric celebrities I follow on Twitter. An evil corner where I can assign pseudonyms to annoying coworkers just so I can complain about them and still keep my day job. A virtual journal to rant and rave about human rights. And my absolute favorite…writing about dark subject matters that make my reader second guess if my post was fiction or…based on real life?
I suppose the truth is I want to have a blog where I am free to type whatever is on my mind. Sometimes that will mean a book review post. Maybe a small cartoon I purposely chose to illustrate only with Paint because I admire simplicity. Other times, it could be a dark poem that I wrote simply because I can. Not everything I write is to be taken literally or even assumed to be based on real life anecdotes. Isn’t that why we write fiction after all? 😉
Now, if you don’t like my blog, that’s ok. Really.
But you should still promote it, because maybe someone from your 600+ assortment of forgotten college acquaintances on Facebook WILL like it. And you wouldn’t want to be held responsible for undermining my efforts of becoming a famous writer, would you?
Of course not.
And if you’re wondering if I’m evil and enjoy poking fun at society, you might be one of those individuals that possess the ability to get easily offended. Should this be the case, you need to stop reading this blog now. I repeat. Stop reading this now. BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. That said, you have been duly warned. Because I’m considerate like that. You’re welcome.
